The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

Google is committed to helping users make informed financial decisions. Google Ads policies are designed to provide users with the information they need to weigh the costs of financial products and services and to protect them from harmful or deceptive practices.

Violations of the policies below will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued at least 7 days prior to any suspension of your account. Learn more about suspended accounts.

Financial products and services can be very complex and are sometimes difficult to understand. Disclosures increase transparency and provide consumers with valuable information to make informed decisions. Disclosures can’t be posted as roll-over text or made available through another link or tab. They must be clearly and immediately visible without needing to click or hover over anything.

If you’re promoting financial products or services, you’re required to provide:

  • The physical address for the business offering the financial product or service
  • All associated fees
  • Links to third-party accreditation or endorsement where affiliation is asserted or implied, particularly when it serves to improve the reputation of the site

Examples (non-exhaustive):

  • Verification of government affiliation
  • Third-party ratings

Appeal policy decision

If you believe there’s been an error and that you haven’t violated Google Ads' policies, appeal the policy decision directly from your Google Ads account to request a review. If the review determines that your ads are compliant, they can run again. If you aren't able to fix these violations or choose not to, remove your ad to help prevent your account from becoming suspended in the future for repeated policy violations.
