Safety-related driver assistance features
Your car may have safety-related driver assistance outside of Google Maps. These features can be turned on or off using vehicle controls on the steering wheel or in the infotainment system. Some features may depend on an integration with vehicle technology, like an external camera, assisted driving features, and more. To determine which features your car has, read the driver manual or explore information on your car screen.

You can get useful information for your electric vehicle on Google Maps. You can find your car’s battery level on arrival, get important battery alerts, and find compatible charging stations.
Tip: Some features aren't available in all languages and countries/regions.

Charging Assistance
If you won't reach your destination without charging, you'll have charging automatically added along your route. The charging time will be included in the duration of the trip.
To add a charging station to your route:
- Tap Add stop.
- Select a charging station.

Search for charging stations
You can search on Google Maps for charging stations that have plugs compatible with your car and choose what shows up in your results by:
- Payment networks
- Charging speeds
If you add a charging station along the route, you’ll find a recommended minimum charging time. Charging times vary by the car’s battery on arrival, the car’s charging capabilities, and the station’s charging speed.
