Ads Advisor (beta)

Ads Advisor is an agentic conversational experience built with Gemini in Google Ads designed to help maximize your performance based on your unique business goals. Ads Advisor can help you get personalized answers to your questions, understand and improve your campaign performance, troubleshoot performance or ads policy related issues, and suggest new text and image creatives.

Note: View the Ads Advisor announcement at Google Marketing Live (GML) in May 2025. Since then, we’ve added even more capabilities to Ads Advisor to help you better manage your Google Ads account.

How it works

Ads Advisor is optimized for Google Ads, and can understand your questions and provide a personalized response. It can help you identify areas of improvement, troubleshoot issues impacting your campaign performance and implement the suggested changes with your approval.

Follow the steps below to access Ads Advisor:

  1. In your Google Ads account, select the Ads Advisor icon in the top right corner that says “Ads Advisor-Beta”. (If your account is eligible, you’ll have the option).
  2. This opens the Ads Advisor window on the right panel.
  3. Type your query into the Ads Advisor.
Keep in mind:
  • Ads Advisor may need a moment to process your request.
  • Generated images are either sourced from your landing page or generated by Google AI.
  • In some scenarios, Ads Advisor may not generate responses that are accurate or relevant. You can use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to provide the product team with feedback on each response.
  • It’s your responsibility to ensure that the suggestions you accept are accurate and relevant before implementing them in your account.

Note: Ads Advisor in Google Ads is improving continuously, so there may be some limitations to its capabilities.

Tips for using Ads Advisor

  • When prompting, be specific with your queries. Try to specify keywords, campaign names, or metrics/dimensions.
  • Communicate with Ads Advisor as if you're talking to a human. You can ask follow up questions on the subject being discussed, or change to a new subject.
  • Ads Advisor suggests responses to help guide your conversation. You can either choose a suggested option or type your own query.
