You can get recommendations and answers from Gemini in Google Maps. This AI-powered tool helps you find the best places to go and provides specific details about your destination.

Important: WebGL is required for Ask Maps to function. Some browsers block the WebGL technology used to make 3D images.

Ask questions

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Click Menu Menu and then Ask Maps.
  3. In the prompt box, enter a question.
  4. Tap Send .
    • You can continue to ask follow-up questions.

Examples of what to ask

  • “Any fun things to do this weekend within a 15-minute drive?”
  • ”I need to pick up my friend from the airport. What's the fastest way to get there? When should I leave if I need to be there by 6:00 PM? Where can I get flowers on the way?”
  • ”My phone is about to run out of battery. Where can I buy a charger? Are there any charging stations available at no charge without having to order a coffee?”

Find conversations in your chat history

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Click Menu Menu and then Ask Maps.
  3. To find a list of your past conversations, tap History .
  4. To load a past conversation, tap it.

Delete conversations from your chat history

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Click Menu Menu and then Ask Maps.
  3. Tap History .
  4. Next to the conversation you want to delete, tap Delete .
    • Important: You can only delete the full conversation, not just a part of it.

Report a problem

  1. Under the response, tap Thumbs-down .
  2. Select a reason for the feedback.
  3. In the text box, describe the issue in detail.
  4. Tap Submit.

Tip: To leave positive feedback or suggest features, tap Thumbs-up and fill out the form.
