Important: Edits that try to significantly change a business may be rejected. These edits may be fraudulent or indicate that the business should be removed.
Change a place’s attributes in Google Maps
Important: This feature is only available in certain countries and regions.
You can add missing information, edit attributes, or report incorrect attributes for places in Google Maps:
- In Google Maps
, sign in to your Google Account.
- Search for a place or select it on the map.
- Select Suggest an edit

- To change multiple attributes at the same time, under “Edit information,” select more attributes.
- Learn more about attributes you can change.
- Make your changes:
- Add missing information or edit attributes: Follow the onscreen instructions.
- Report incorrect attributes: If an attribute is incorrect but you don’t know the right details, select Don’t know, but this is incorrect.
- Not all attributes have this option.
- Tip: To help us verify your suggestion, add a photo. Your photos are publicly available under your name.
- Select Submit.

Place name 
You can add, edit, or report a place’s name.
If there’s a new business at this location, or the existing business has changed its name significantly, do this instead:
- Mark this business as permanently closed.
- Add the new business or name as a missing place.
Category 
You can add, edit, or report a place’s category.
Location 
You can:
- Add, edit, or report a place’s address or location on the map.
- Add or edit where a place is located within a larger venue.
Hours 
You can add, edit, or report when the place is open each day of the week.
Phone number 
You can add, edit, or report a place’s phone number.
Website 
You can add, edit, or report a place’s website.

Tip: If you only find the option to change a place’s operating status, the place might be temporarily or permanently closed.Electric vehicle connectors

You can describe a place’s service options, highlights, accessibility, special food or drink offerings, dining options, amenities, atmosphere, crowd, planning considerations, or payment options.
Important: You can only suggest edits to place attributes on a mobile device.
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app
- Find the profile of the business you want to edit.
- In the tab selector bar, scroll sideways and tap About
- From the given descriptions, tap a description to change it to:
- True
- False
- Unsure
- True
- When you’re done making edits, tap Submit.

To make sure Maps is accurate and up to date, we review all the edits you make. Changes may take time to appear on the map, and we'll keep you updated on the status of your edits.
