When to use
It depends: You may or may not need to submit this attribute depending on the countries in which your products show.
The pickup cost is a critical factor for users choosing to visit a store, so showing accurate information can help the performance of your in-store products.
Pickup costs are required for in-store products for any of the United Kingdom and EU and EFTA countries if you charge pickup costs on your website for in-store pickup.
Note: This attribute can be submitted in your product data.
Sub-attributes
The pickup cost [pickup_cost] attribute uses sub-attributes to define the costs associated with your products that can be bought or reserved on your website and picked up in-store.
These are the sub-attributes:
- pickup cost flat rate
[pickup_cost_flat_rate]
Submit any costs associated with products that can be bought or reserved on your website and picked up in-store. Use a period [.] as the decimal separator (for example: 3.00 USD). Avoid commas [,] to ensure that the price is interpreted correctly.
- pickup cost free threshold [
pickup_cost_free_threshold](optional)
Submit if your pickup cost will be free of charge beyond a certain amount. For orders below this amount, the pickup cost flat rate will apply. If the pickup cost free threshold is not set, pickup cost flat rate will be shown for all eligible pickup offers.
For example, if the pickup cost free threshold is set to 20.00 EUR, only in-store products with a price of less than 20 EUR will show pickup cost flat rate.

Minimum requirements
These are the requirements you need to meet to show your product. If you don't follow these requirements, your product may be disapproved and we will let you know in your Merchant Center account.
- Submit correct pickup costs: The value submitted must exactly match the pickup fee displayed to customers on your product pages or at checkout.
- Submit correct currency: Always include the currency code (e.g., EUR) alongside the numerical value.
- Disclose fees upfront: Ensure pickup fees (along with free pickup threshold, when applicable) are disclosed to shoppers before payment information is entered.
- Display the rate for pickup: Don’t use other rates such as the rate for shipping or a rate that requires a membership to be applicable. If you want to allow customers to purchase products online and pick them up in store, you must also provide the pickup SLA
[pickup_SLA]attribute.
Best practices
These best practices can help you go beyond the basic requirements to optimize your data for performance:
- Do not submit store specifics costs: do not include pickup cost by store location, only provide the pickup cost
[pickup_cost]in your product data source. - Submit pickup costs for any region you are activated in pickup for: If you don’t submit a pickup cost for a region where pickup is available in your data source, your product could be disapproved.
- Submit a pickup cost that can be represented in your target country's currency (according to ISO 4217). For example, instead of 1.0012 EUR, submit 1.01 EUR. If your price can’t be represented in your target country's currency, then we’ll round it to a value that can.
- Do not submit the attribute multiple times: For example, don’t submit 2 different prices at the product level.
- Use the pickup method
[pickup_method]with the value “not supported” to exclude offers from pickup.
