To navigate by voice, you must set up Gemini or Google Assistant in your car.

Navigate with voice commands
You can talk to Gemini or Google Assistant to control navigation while you drive and ask for things like directions, estimated arrival times, live traffic information, and more.

- Say “Hey Google” or tap the microphone

.You can speak naturally and be understood when you talk to Gemini. You can ask for things like directions, estimated arrival times, live traffic information, and more.
You can say also use regular voice commands with Gemini or Google Assistant:
- “Navigate home.”
- “When does [name of place] close?”
- “Avoid tolls.”
- “Exit navigation.”
Tip: Some features aren't available in all languages and countries/regions.
Navigate with the car screen
- On your car screen, tap the app launcher

- Select your favorite navigation app to browse destinations and get directions.
If your navigation app has a search function and you want to type in a destination using your car screen, you must put your car in park.
